Terms of Service

By visiting our website and ordering from Heatherly Handmade, you, the Customer acknowledge that embroidery is a mechanical process involving high-speed needles and tension. While every precaution is taken, the Customer agrees to the following:

General Policies

Replacement Risk

Heatherly Handmade is not responsible for replacing or reimbursing the cost of items provided by the Customer that are damaged during the embroidery process.

One-of-a-Kind Items

Items designated as "irreplaceable," "vintage," "heirloom," or "one-of-a-kind" are accepted at the sole risk of the Customer. Heatherly Handmade does not guarantee results on these items and strongly recommends using a replaceable alternative for complex designs.

Item Condition

Items must be new or freshly laundered. Heatherly Handmade reserves the right to refuse items that are soiled, delicate, or structurally unsuitable for embroidery.

Design & Personalization

Customer Approval

The specifications submitted during checkout represent final customer approval. Customers are responsible for verifying all names, spelling, thread colors, and design/motif selection prior to order submission.

Finality

Once an order is placed, Heatherly Handmade is not liable for mistakes resulting from incorrect customer-submitted details.

Grace Period

Customers are granted a one-time 24-hour grace period following order submission to email corrections. After 24 hours, design specifications are locked in for production.

Limitation of Liability & Property Damage

Machine Malfunction

In the event of a mechanical failure (e.g., birdnesting, needle breaks, or oil staining), Heatherly Handmade’s liability is limited strictly to the refund of the embroidery service fee. We are not liable for the cost of the garment or any consequential damages.

Thread/Color Variance

Minor variations in thread color may occur due to screen resolution differences or dye lot changes.

Safety & Injury Waiver

Finished Product Safety

Custom embroidery may involve small parts (e.g., sequins, beads) or stabilizing backings. The Customer assumes all responsibility for the safe use of the item once it leaves the premises, particularly regarding items intended for infants or children (choking hazards).

In-Home Pickup/Drop-off

If the Customer enters the business premises (home studio), they agree to hold Heatherly Handmade harmless for any personal injury or "slip and fall" incidents occurring on the property.

Abandoned Property

Items not picked up within 60 days of the completion notification will be considered abandoned and may be donated or sold to recoup costs, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Payment, Refund & Return Policy

Balance Due

The balance is due in full upon confirmation of the order and must be paid prior to embroidery.

Custom Nature of Work

Due to the permanent and personalized nature of embroidery, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for "change of mind" or if the customer dislikes a font, design, motif, or color they previously approved.

Error Correction

In the rare event that Heatherly Handmade makes a factual error that deviates from the approved design (e.g., misspelled name or wrong color), we will provide a correction or a credit toward a future service at our discretion.
